Sending prayers of comfort and peace to those who have lost.

"Almighty God, Father of mercies and giver of all comfort: Deal graciously, we pray, with all those who mourn, that casting every care on you we may know the consolation of your love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May their souls and the souls of the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."

Norton has wonderful FREE parental controls out there.  It allows you to edit content available for searching, sent computer and internet time limits, and for a fee monitor web videos and social media.  Nowadays we need to monitor what our children our doing on the internet.

Having the internet at their fingertips is like giving candy to a baby... worse yet... like doing drugs.  We need to let our kids be kids.  Take a look at the easy parental controls that Norton has.  It sends you an email notification when your child is doing something naughty!!!

What a great weekend!

This weekend went well... Friday night, I ran a few errands then went to dinner at Noodles & Co. Alone! It sounds kind of sad, but trust me... It was peaceful and relaxing... Saturday I went to the Blaine Blazin' 4th parade... Which was basically full of politicians... Pretty lame... Played a game of scrabble with mom and Rissa... Did well until the end when Rissa took over... Worked today, then went out for Pizza with Elijah... A good weekend indeed.

A certain Grandpa's Father's Day card!  This was super easy, original instructions had the signature using AIR-HEADS as each member of the family, however, my Dad's favorite candy bar is 3 muskateer, which is why we worked that in.  It was a hit with Grandpa!

This product appeared to work exactly as claimed. It removed the UV stains incurred by the harsh sun... See before and after shots. We will see how long it lasts...

I made 3 lbs of taco meat last week and was thinking about what else I could do with it... Just add some of the meat and your favorite cheese, spray with olive oil, roll it up and bake for 5 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

Serve with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and salsa...

The Best Screen Protector

0
COM
Screen Protectors are a pain.  We all want them, some of them you spray adhesive on to make them stick.  Others, you pay someone to install them.  Then you wait the recommended 48 hours and then put your case on, and what does it do, it starts to peel off.

So I did research, lots of research, and ordered one by a company I'd never heard of, because the reviews were fantastic.  I even watched a YouTube video on how to install.  It in fact is dummy proof and the best screen protector I've ever bought and well worth the wait to get it as I ordered it off of amazon.  I haven't see this particular brand in stores.

The name of the company that makes them is Great Shield.  In particular, the EZseal Plus Models.  I found better deals on Amazon for the actual screen protectors.  Available for cell phones, ipads, and ipod touches.

Check it out.

I hate screen protectors... Installing them is a pain... The one I bought for my iPad in January is pealing off already... I tried installing one on my sons iPod Touch and I messed that thing up... Ended up buying another one and paying the geek squad to install it.... Urge

Today I finished my monitor stand.  Not bad for the first try.  It looks super good.  I used a 36 Inch decorative shelf, as well as 6 door stops.  The only major issue was the screws on the door stops were too long for the shelf.  So I had to have dad help me cut them down.  Overall not to bad.  I might add some "glam" as my mom put it.

An Introduction

COM

I want to start by introducing myself.  I'm 33 years old, I've been a mom for almost 12 years, which means my son Elijah will be 12 next month.  He is a boy scout with Troop 513 out of Peace Lutheran Church.  Recently he was diagnosed with ADHD, so any tips, tricks, or advice other parents have would be much appreciated.  A few years ago I graduated from Augsburg College with BA's in Finance and Management Information Systems.  A year and a half ago I bought my townhouse.  I have to say, I was extremely proud to accomplish those two things.  I worked for 10 years to achieve those dreams.  The next big one, is to get healthy!!!  I have Fibromyalgia, and the main treatment for FMS is to exercise.  I am going to be doing a 10 mile hike with my son for boy scouts, so the goal right now is to lose some weight and build some muscle.

This is my first blog post on blogger, you can also follow me on twitter, pinterest, facebook, oh and anything else out there I probably have too.

I hope you find this blog entertaining!!!
